Meet Your Coach
I'm Matt Tamburri: a coach, a speaker, and a five-time cardiac arrest survivor. I help people through the moments that change everything, whether that's a setback that knocked them off course, a career that no longer fits, or a new chapter they aren't sure how to start. I've spent my career helping people find where they belong, and my life learning how to begin again.
Our Story
In April 2012, at 19 years old, my heart stopped for 15 minutes. I survived a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, something fewer than 5% of people do, and spent a week in an induced coma. I came out of it with a pacemaker, a defibrillator, and a completely different understanding of how fast life can change.
It wasn't the last time. By 33, I had survived five cardiac arrests, including two at friends' weddings and one while singing at the funeral of one of my best friends. Along the way, I also survived three TIA strokes and blood clots caused by my pacemaker and defibrillator leads. Each one forced the same question: what do you do with the time you're given?
My answer was to use it. From 24 to 29, I served as the youngest board member of the American Heart Association and became a public speaker, sharing my story to help others understand survival, recovery, and what comes after.
Professionally, I spent three years in construction, a year in private equity, and seven years in executive search in New York City, rising to Vice President and placing leaders across construction, development, architecture, and finance. I learned what makes careers thrive, what makes them stall, and how to help people make the move that's right for them.
Through all of it, I've been a performer. Since 2019, I've been represented by BMG Models and Talent in New York, appearing in commercials, short films, feature films, and modeling work. Acting and singing have taught me as much about presence, courage, and connection as any boardroom.
The Tamburri Organization brings it all together. Whether you're rebuilding after something that turned your life upside down or figuring out your next career move, I'm here to help you take the next step.
